When To Keep Your Student Home In order to prevent the spread of illness, students should stay at home with the following conditions until issue is resolved or approved by a health care provider:
Temperature of 100 degrees or higher Elevated temperature with a severe cold with yellow/green nasal discharge, excessive coughing, swollen glands, skin rash Red, watery draining eyes Lice or nits Skin conditions such as impetigo, ringworm, or scabies Vomiting Chickenpox Strep throat The flu Vision Screening Vision is screened at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th grades.
